I completed graduation in Chemistry from Fergusson college Pune and Masters in Biochemistry from SPPU (2015). I have qualified CSIR-NET (2017), GATE (2016) and SET (2016). I am currently pursuing my PhD in Biochemistry under the guidance of Dr. Manoj D. Oak.

Wheat grain yield and quality mainly depend on wheat storage proteins called gliadins and glutenins. Wheat genotype, fertilizers (Nitrogen and sulphur), growing conditions, transcription factor Gpc-B1, 1B/1R translocation are the important factors affecting grain yield, grain protein content and composition. My interest is to know how these factors interact and decide the final grain yield and baking properties.
