Designation : Ph.D. student
Brief Background :
I have completed my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Environmental Science from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar. I was working as an Assistant Professor at R.R. Lalan College, Bhuj. I joined as a JRF in Agharkar Research Institute, Pune (2017) in a project sponsored by the Ministry of Earth Sciences. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. with Dr. Karthick Balasubramanian on “Diatoms as indicators of environmental and climatic changes in the Myristica swamps of the Western Ghats”.

My research interest isto understand the current diatom diversity and its environmental preference from the acidic swampsof the Western Ghats region. Further, I am focusing on understanding the past diatom community from the sedimentary records and using diatoms as a tool to reconstructpast climatic history in this biodiversity hotspot region of Western Ghats.
