Brief Background :
After graduating in Microbiology from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, she went on to complete her post-graduation in Human Genetics from SRMC University, Chennai. Later, she worked at Omics International, Hyderabad, and then got an opportunity to work at Neuberg-Anand Diagnostics, Bengaluru as a Cytogeneticist.
Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in Biotechnology. She is a UGC-JRF in the Bioprospecting group of ARI.

She is focusing on the ROS-generating ability of synthesized natural products-based molecules in gynaecological cancer cells, and her doctoral work includes a mechanistic study to understand the role of molecules in the management of gynaecological cancer.
