I completed B.Sc. in (Microbiology, Chemistry, and Botany) from Swami RamanandTeerthMarathwada University (S.R.T.M.U), Nanded. Further, I pursued M.Sc. in Botany from the Department of Botany, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. Currently I am pursuing my Ph.D. in Botanywith Dr. Karthick Balasubramanian, ARI, Pune affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.

Algae Biofuels, Biogeography,Diatom taxonomy and systematics, Phylogeny.

My research focuses on understanding thephylogeny and phylogeography of microbial eukaryotes from the Indian subcontinent. For this study, I am using diatoms as a model organisms.
