My research interest isto understand the current diatom diversity and its environmental preference from the acidic swampsof the Western Ghats region. Further, I am focusing on understanding the past diatom community from the sedimentary records and using diatoms as a tool to reconstructpast climatic history in this biodiversity hotspot region of Western Ghats.
